Even though many students look at this place as just a school, for all intents and purposes, it really is a multi-million dollar business. The university is doing its best to stay in operation and thrive.

IUS hires 2 new administrators

Three IUS departments were without a director this summer. Two of the departments have now hired new directors and only one position remains open. The position that remains open is for the director of Residence Life. Because the fall semester is starting with no official director, one of the campus administrators is going to be overseeing Residence Life.

New students get acquainted

More than 1,400 incoming students filled the Activities Building on Friday, Aug. 21. They came for the annual IUS Student Orientation Day. The event lasted from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The day’s events included an induction ceremony, academic sessions, social events and an orientation picnic and Student Involvement Fair.

Where your Activity Fee money goes

The Student Activity Fee is part of the tuition bill each student pays every semester. The money from the fee goes to certain campus organizations, such as Athletics or The Horizon.
