IUS police responded to a noise complaint in Orchard Lodge. When the officer entered the dorm, he found two students who appeared to be consuming alcohol. Upon further inspection, the officer found one beer can in one of the student’s hands, several empty cans in the trash and one full can resting on the couch.
Only one of the students lived in the dorm and the officer was informed that the beer belonged to his roommate. The officer made the two males pour out the remaining alcohol which was reported to be 16 cans of beer and one partially full bottle of vodka.
The students were told the matter would be handled by the university’s administration. The officer then escorted the dorm resident to the dumpster to dispose of the empty cans.
