Students reported a verbal altercation between students who were participating in the Hoosiers for Higher Education event, sponsored by the Alumni Association.
The altercation began between the students over seating arrangements. Police took reports from those involved.
Feb. 26
A caller reported a preacher in McCullough Plaza arguing with students. The caller said “it seemed like the arguments were escalating and getting ugly.”
Officers found Rick Bradley performing in McCullough Plaza, but determined that he was not a threat to student safety, and decided to set up a barrier area to limit interaction between Bradley and the students.
Feb. 27
A campus-wide power outage occurred when a transformer blew. Duke energy was called and power was restored by the end of the day.
Feb. 28
Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute between a male and female taking place in front of Grove Lodge.
Before police arrived, another call came in stating the couple had left in a white Toyota.
Police pulled the vehicle over after witnessing the female attempting to get out of the vehicle while it was moving.
The officer ran a background check for any possible warrants which came back negative.
The driver notified the officer he didn’t want the female suspect back in his car, so the officer drove the woman back to her dorm at Grove Lodge.
March 5
A 30-minute-parking sign was ripped out of the ground and thrown against a nearby tree near Forest Lodge.
Police found the sign and stuck it back into the spot it originally belonged.

A noise complaint in Forest Lodge was made to IUS Police.
Upon arrival, officers found students engaged in a towel fight.

A report of suspicious behavior near the IUS Tennis Courts was reported. Officers found the subjects, and discovered they were collecting tennis balls.
