Kegan Clark is a 6-foot-5-inch senior small forward, from Jeffersonville. He and the IUS men’s basketball team have no limits to their expectations for the 2013-2014 basketball season. Following IU Southeast’s first final four experience, and feeding off the strength of a 30-5 record and winning the KIAC (Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Tournament Championship. Clark and company have big plans this season.
“Our goal for this season is winning a National Championship,” Clark said.
Clark started playing basketball when he was in the first grade. He started at the YMCA, then moved to youth leagues and to AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) and now college. He also played football and baseball.
“I realized during my senior year that he was capable of playing collegiately,” Clark said. He made the Indiana all-stars as a senior and received a scholarship to play Division I basketball for Wright State.
Clark has many fond memories since transferring to IU Southeast as a sophomore.
“It has been great learning under Coach Brown. He has helped me become a complete player,” Clark said. One of his not-so-fond memories happened on the court about two years ago, when he missed a dunk badly in a game. Despite that, Clark said the final four run and just being around the guys was a great experience for Clark.
In his down time, Clark likes to relax by playing Xbox games like “Madden NFL football,” “Call of Duty” or” NBA2k.” Currently his favorite show is “Sons of Anarchy.” Clark also discussed his weakness for cheeseburgers and being a big fan of the rapper Drake.
Clark has aspirations of playing professionally and hopes to be making money oversees this time next year, but not before making a run at a National Championship.
