Suspicious activity was reported outside the Activities Building at 5:32 a.m. IUS Police investigated and found a bus waiting for students to arrive for a trip.

A student burning noodles in a dorm, set off a smoke alarm in Grove Lodge at 9:23 p.m.

IUS Police received a call at 9:49 p.m. from a CA who reported an odor of “garbage” coming from the vents of Forest Lodge. IUS Police advised the CA to call Residence Life for permission to investigate the odor. Residence Life told the CA it was OK to enter the dorm room in question.
April 13
A student reported a hit and run accident in the Evergreen East Lot at 9:09 p.m. A silver Jetta backed into a “silver or white” Solara parked in the front row, and then drove away without making a report.
April 14
At 10:08 p.m., an IUS Police officer found that parking meter number 1 in the Hickory Lot had been vandalized with a bumper sticker. The officer checked to see if the meter was working properly, by trying to remove the sticker. An Art Department employee was called and asked to check out the situation.

A black Ford Expedition was reported to be parked in the crosswalk in front of the Life Science building at 11:50 a.m. IUS Police wrote citations for parking in the crosswalk and for not having a valid IUS parking permit.

A student called at 2:18 p.m. to report he had locked his keys inside his car in the Evergreen West Lot. He asked IUS Police to send an officer to unlock his car for him.

A “future” student was locked out of his yellow Ford Escape in the Dogwood Lot at 8:24 p.m.
