IUS Police received a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle in the Central Parking Lot. Officer responded and reported the suspicious person was waiting for friends, and all was OK.
Sept. 26 at 2:05 a.m.
IUS Police received a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle parked on Alumni Drive in front of McCullough Plaza. An officer responded and reported the suspicious person was waiting on friends, and all was OK.
Sept. 28 at 3:20 p.m.
IUS Police received a report of a possible theft in the Food Court. Ernie Gionis, director of Dining and Conference Services, reported money missing from a cash drawer of one of the registers. No information was available on how much money was stolen.
Sept. 28 at 6:12 p.m.
The New Albany Police Department called the IUS Police to notify them of an accident in an IUS parking lot. An officer was sent out to investigate, and found there actually was an accident. A report was made on the damage to the vehicles.
Sept. 29 at 5:58 p.m.
A woman reported a theft to IUS Police. She said some money had been taken from her, but she didn’t know where the theft had occurred or if maybe she had dropped the money.
Sept. 29 at 7:40 p.m.
A smoke alarm was set off in Forest Lodge when someone burned bread.
Sept. 29 at 11:55 p.m.
IUS Police received a noise complaint from a student in Orchard Lodge. An officer responded and advised groups of students to keep the noise down. Good work, boys.
Sept. 30 at 4:01 p.m.
IUS Police received a report of a hit-and-run in the Evergreen West Parking Lot. Maybe the other driver didn’t realize they had hit anything until they got home.
Sept. 30 at 6:42 p.m.
IUS Police received a call from a student that had locked his backpack in an office in Hillside Hall.
Oct. 1 at 10:44 p.m.
A fire alarm was set off in Meadow Lodge by a hairdryer.
Oct. 2 at 12:11 a.m.
IUS Police made a vehicle stop of a possible robbery suspect on IU Southeast’s Southern Drive. An officer reported they issued no citations or warnings, and had pulled over the wrong suspect.
