As a person that has never watched “John and Kate Plus 8” on the TLC network, I want to say that I am tired of them being a part of my life.
If I don’t watch it, how could they possibly be a part of my life? Because they are on every magazine, Web site and news program I see on a daily basis.
In this case, eight is more than enough for me. I hate both John and Kate, and I just want them to go away.
The television show follows the lives of John and Kate Gosselin and their eight, fertility drug-induced children doing all the things that every family with eight children does.
I can’t really tell you any more than that, because I just don’t care about John and Kate or their litter of eight.
Opossums have eight offspring at one time. Cats have litters of eight or more at one time. Humans are not supposed to have eight children in their lifetimes, much less all at once.
And please don’t tell me that God wanted them to have all those children, or just how blessed John and Kate were to have those children. God didn’t have anything to do with it, science did.
If it weren’t for science stepping in with fertility methods, the Gosselins never would have had those children, and no one would care about John, Kate or anything else about them.
My problem with these two is they live such a privileged life because they choose to exploit their situation.
They have millions of dollars, a beautiful home and a television show that millions watch because they have so many children.
There are a lot of families in the United States that have too many children, and they don’t have a television crew following their every movement. They get up, go to work and try to provide a good life for their children like they should be expected to.
Those people struggle to make a living and to care for their children. They don’t have people paying them money to advertise their products or to drive their cars. They do what they have to so their children can have a good life and they can provide for their families.
Now John and Kate have broken up and are in talks to get a divorce, and once again they are on the front page of every weekly gossip magazine in the supermarkets.
Viewers want to know who is at fault, who is to blame for the break-up and what will happen to their favorite show about two people that have too many children.
Once again, I don’t care who is to blame, but considering the circumstances, I’d say that each and every person that watched that show is to blame.
So now the show’s producers plan to rename the show “Kate Plus 8” and I still don’t care.
As I said earlier, I just want John and Kate to go away.
Don’t re-name the show. Don’t pay them any more money.
Please, just get them out of my life.
