The hold-up alarm in the IUS Credit Union sounded, even though the activation button had not been pressed. IUS Police could not reset it but were able to deactivate the alarm until the alarm service company could be contacted.
Oct. 3 at 2:23 a.m.
IUS Police responded to a noise complaint in Orchard Lodge. Officers found adults and children being loud and advised them to keep the noise down.
Oct. 4 at 6:09 a.m.
A vehicle stop was made by IUS Police outside of Meadow Lodge. The driver notified the officer he was there to pick up his niece, who was ill at the time.
Oct. 5 at 8:24 a.m.
A smoke alarm was set off in Meadow Lodge when a resident burned a Pop-Tart. No word on the flavor of the Pop-Tart.
Oct. 8 at 10:01 a.m.
A diabetic student in the Life Sciences Building fell out of a chair due to low blood sugar levels. IUS Police responded to the situation and canceled the ambulance that had been called for.
Oct. 8 at 4:19 p.m.
IUS Police received a report of harassment of a female student at Grant Line Road and Hausfeldt Lane.
The student said three white males in a dark gray vehicle yelled profanities at her as she was driving to campus. She was unable see the vehicle’s license plate, but IUS Police will continue to investigate the situation.
Oct. 8 at 10:54 p.m.
IUS Police received a report of an alcohol violation in Meadow Lodge. A resident reported students partying and said they were drinking alcohol. Officers responded to the report, and the matter will be handled internally.
Oct. 9 at 9:37 a.m.
IUS Police received a report that a custodian had been bitten by insects near the Activities Building.
