IUS Police reported a power failure on campus that affected several buildings. Backup generators kicked in and restored power until the problem could be fixed.
Oct. 26 at 5:03 p.m.
A student reported to IUS Police that she had accidentally side-swiped a parked vehicle when she was attempting to park.
Oct. 28 at 9:11 a.m.
IUS Police received a call from a female student in Orchard Lodge requesting a jump start for her truck. Before an officer could arrive, the student called back to let IUS Police know she had gotten the truck started on her own.
Oct. 28 at 12:55 p.m.
IUS Police towed a vehicle in the Woodside Parking Lot for having too many unpaid parking citations.
Oct. 28 at 1:24 p.m.
IUS Police received a report of suspicious activity when a female reported two white males looking into parked cars in the Evergreen East Parking Lot.
Oct. 28 at 5:33 p.m.
A student reported a hit and run on his vehicle parked in the Evergreen East Parking Lot. IUS Police took a report.
Oct. 28 at 8:04 p.m.
A smoke alarm in Orchard Lodge was set off by a student burning toast in the microwave. Yes, you can burn toast in a microwave, but, I have no idea why you would have it there in the first place.
Oct. 29 at 11:45 a.m.
A student worker in the Food Court reported not feeling well, and asked IUS Police for assistance going back to the dorm room.
Oct. 29 at 3:06 p.m.
Students were cited for smoking in McCullough Plaza during a protest against the tobacco free policy on campus.
Oct. 29 at 5:09 p.m.
A student in Forest Lodge reported to IUS Police that her Halloween decorations had been torn off her dorm room door, and a few were reported to have been stolen. No suspects were named.
Oct. 29 at 5:22 p.m.
IUS Police took a report from a female instructor who reported a safety concern about a student in her class in Crestview Hall.
Oct. 30 at 12:56 a.m.
IUS Police reported several safety violations in Hillside Hall. Violations included:
• Three fire extinguisher violations
• Lights out in two exit signs
• A nonfunctioning yellow emergency call box
Oct. 30 at 10:14 a.m.
A truck hit the side of a parked car while attempting to park in the Evergreen West Parking Lot. Attempt failed.
