A woman was taken from Meadow Lodge at 1:09 a.m. on Sunday Jan. 18, was taken to a hospital for observation after an alcohol charge.
Kennithia Taylor, 18, was unable to perform field sobriety tests and continued to fall over when officers attempted to administer a breathalyzer.
Sgt. Monica Wise said she was unsure if Taylor lived in the dorms or not.
“She may have just been visiting a friend,” Wise said.
After officers determined Taylor was unable to perform a preliminary breathalyzer test, they called for an ambulance to transport the subject for further treatment.
Wise said they didn’t know Taylor’s blood alcohol level because she physically couldn’t perform the test.
“They couldn’t give her a breathalyzer,” Wise said. “She kept falling over.”
Yellow Ambulance transported Taylor to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
Taylor was later charged with public intoxication and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
