Carlos Mitchell, former guard for the IUS men’s basketball team, signed with Cincinnati Slam of the Universal Basketball Association. The announcement and signing for Mitchell —who played for the Grenadiers from 2006 through 2009 — was on Oct. 24. “He is one of many former IUS student athletes who are doing great things in their life after graduation,” Joe Glover, athletic director, said.

Six IUS basketball players have been suspended following a brawl during the basketball game between IU Southeast and Berea on Feb. 18. According to NAIA bylaws, “Any players who were involved in fighting or left the bench during the incident will serve a one-game suspension.”
