Sigma Kappa hosted, “Tip off with Sigma Kappa,” on the opening day of the National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball tournament on March 21.
Members of Sigma Kappa informed attendees on game scores while updating their brackets, and gave out candy and wristbands.
During the event students were asked to predict who they thought would win the NCAA Tournament.
This year’s tournament has had its fair share of surprises and upsets, being one of the most unpredictable tournaments, only three of the eight students asked picked a team that made it into the Final Four.
On the road to the Championship, being played in Atlanta Monday, April 8, only four teams remain.
The University of Louisville is the lone No. 1 seed left in the tournament. The Cardinals picked up a victory over No. 2 Duke after Kevin Ware, sophomore guard, broke his leg during the first half of the Regional Championship.
Wichita State (No. 8) took out Ohio State (No. 2) and Gonzaga (No. 1) in the Western Region.
Michigan and Syracuse both No. 4 seeds round out the Final Four.
