Joshua Sesar, mathematics sophomore and vice president of the Student Government Association, is going for the spot as SGA president.
“I care about the students and I think I can do a lot of good for them,” Sesar said.
Sesar credits his parents for his ambition, and said they have always been a tremendous source of support in his life and have inspired him to pursue his goals, including his pursuit for the SGA presidency.
Part of his campaign include getting more recycling bins, new food items in the cafeteria and more help for student organizations.
“We would let them come to the SGA office and print whatever it is they need,” Sesar said.
Sesar said he’s a better fit for the position of student body president than his opponent, James Bonsall, SGA treasurer.
“He’s uninformed when it comes to campus,” said Sesar about Bonsall.
“I mean he’s a smart guy but he doesn’t really talk to the people.”
Sesar said he planned on keeping an open dialogue with students.
“I would listen to the people,” Sesar said.
“I would set up a monthly meeting where students could ask us questions about anything and we would help them out,” he said.
