An injury was reported when a student stepped on a piece of glass in her dorm room. The glass was
removed.

A student called and requested an escort. There was no report of money changing hands.
Sept. 6 at 8:13 p.m.
A student in Grove Lodge, room 108, set off the smoke alarm burning food on the stove.
Sept. 8 at 10:22 a.m.
A student in Forest Lodge, room 212, set off the smoke alarm burning bacon on the stove.
Sept. 8 at 11 a.m.
IUS Police assisted a student whose battery died after leaving the lights in her car on.
Sept. 8 at 12:16 p.m.
An abandoned vehicle was found near the Ogle Center. There was a permit on the vehicle. The person it was linked to did not have a phone number they could call, so IUS Police had it towed.
Sept. 8 at 3:32 p.m.
A parent called to report her daughter was missing. She was not in the place that she was supposed to be picked up and her parents could not reach her on her cell phone. The student was found in McCullough Plaza with a dead cell phone. The officer let the student borrow her cell phone to call her parents.

A community adviser called and said students were complaining about noise made by bulldozers. An officer talked to the construction workers and they agreed to stop working for the night.

A student in Orchard Lodge, room 204, set off the smoke alarm burning pancakes on the stove.
Sept. 9 at 8:22 a.m.
A student in Meadow Lodge, room 128, set off the smoke alarm burning bacon on the stove.
Sept. 9 at 4 p.m.
An injury was reported when a housekeeper twisted their knee while picking up their cell phone.
Sept. 9 at 7:17 p.m.
A report of suspicious activity was made about an IUS student resting near the IUS Lake.
Sept. 10 at 11:02 a.m.
A harassment complaint was made to the Residence Life office involving an incident in the dorms. Information was given.
Sept. 10 at 4:17 p.m.
A four-car accident occurred on Grant Line Road near the IUS main entrance when one vehicle rear ended another vehicle into two vehicles stopped in front of it.
