The spring 2016 semester is set to begin Monday, Jan. 11. However, a snowstorm that lasted from late Saturday, Jan. 9 to Sunday, Jan. 10 has caused IU Southeast to have a two-hour delay the first day of the semester, according to an IU Southeast alert.

The alert was communicated to students, faculty and staff at around 9:10 p.m. Jan. 10. The text alert said:

“IU Southeast Alert: IU Southeast is on a delayed schedule due to winter weather. Check ius.edu for more information.”

After the alert was announced, the IU Southeast website experienced technical issues due to high website traffic. The two-hour delay snow schedule from the website is below.

8 a.m. classes meet from 10 a.m. until 10:55 a.m.
9:30 a.m. classes meet from 11 a.m. until 11:55 a.m.
11 a.m. classes meet from 12 noon until 12:55 p.m.
All other classes meet at regular times.

Student with questions about when their Jan. 11 classes meet should contact their professors.
