Brewing with buddies: FOSSILS Brew Club
April 29, 2015
“Fermentors of Special Southern Indiana Libations Society – that’s what FOSSILS is,” says Richard Rush, president of FOSSILS brew club.
According to its Facebook group, FOSSILS is “the local homebrewers’ club of Southern Indiana.” FOSSILS meets at 6 p.m. on the second Sunday of every month in the Prost Room of the New Albanian Brewing Company. Membership dues are $20 each year.
“It’s a great opportunity to learn anything you want to about any kind of brewing that you’d wanna learn about,” said Matthew Waters, one of the “veteran brewers” at FOSSILS. “Anything from wine to beer, cider, anything – it’s just a giant plethora of all kinds of information.”
Once a month, FOSSILS hosts a “brew-in.” Brew-ins are opportunities where “as many members as want can build some fellowship, get together and brew some beer together,” Rush said.
