Adviser inspired by past, looks forward to future

Quirky. Random. Talkative. Hard-working. Loyal. Helpful. These are just a few adjectives that describe Misti Whitaker, newest academic adviser for the School of Social Sciences. “I think one of the things that makes me so unique is my sense of humor,” Whitaker said. She said her sense of humor runs in the family. Each one of her three sisters, as well as her mother and stepfather, have a similar sense of humor.

IUS departments host grad school workshop

A graduate school workshop, sponsored by the IUS Honors Program and the English Club, was held on Friday, April 2, in Hoosier Room West. Will Biel, English senior and chair of the Honors Program Student Advisory Board, said the purpose of the workshop was to educate students about graduate school. “The graduate school workshop was designed to spread information about how to apply to graduate school,” Biel said.
