Trevor Ash, 20, Matthew Rommos, 19, and Grant Vance, 19, were arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. The three were originally pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign. After the officer issued a warning, one allegedly threw a glass bottle out of the window and were pulled over again. Upon searching the subject’s car, IUS Police Officer David Million found an open bottle of tequila. The alcohol was disposed of and the citation issued.
Oct. 12 at 2:14 p.m.
IUS Police were dispatched to University Center to locate a squirrel in the Commons. Officers were able to locate the nutty critter and propped a door open so it could run out.
Oct. 12 at 5:31 p.m.
IUS Police stopped a vehicle for expired registration and gave the driver a warning. The driver also had a suspended license and was given a citation.
Oct. 14 at 1:15 p.m.
A harassment report between two roommates in Woodland Lodge was taken. The report is being handled by Residence Life.
Oct. 14 at 4:20 p.m.
A lost wallet was found in Hillside Hall; IUS Police returned it to the professor it belonged to.
Oct. 16 at 7:20 a.m.
A student needed assistance with her car in Willow Parking Lot. IUS Police unsuccessfully attempted to jumpstart the vehicle. The officer transported the student to class.
