According to IU Notify it is now safe to move freely on IU Southeast’s campus.

The reported gunman was actually carrying an umbrella, according to an IU Southeast alert.

At approximately 1:10 this afternoon IU Southeast sent an IU Notify alert via text and email that an armed gunman was on campus.

According to IU Notify authorities were searching for, ” a white male 5′ 10″ with a shaved head,carrying a camouflaged backpack with what appeared to be a weapon .”

Students and faculty were instructed via text to, “Go into nearest room and lock door.”

The all clear was given ay approximately 2 p.m.
