March 14 at 9:39 a.m.After a month-long process, IUS Police arrested a student for theft. Ashley Y. Henderson, a 19-year-old IUS student, was arrested for cashing two checks that didn’t belong to her.
On Feb. 18, Charles Edelen, IUS Police chief, received a report from the IU Credit Union that checks for the Kappa Delta Pi sorority had been ordered, but they never received any.
Henderson, who Edelen said is not a member of the sorority, cashed those two checks without the authorization to do so. It took about a month to gather all the information, but a warrant was issued for her arrest, and Henderson was incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail.
