WE Studio is an art studio on Main Street in downtown New Albany. It was once a tire shop, but R. Michael Wimmer and his girlfriend turned it into an art studio. All of the artwork is Wimmer’s. He uses mixed media to make different sculptures. Media he uses includes wood, plastic, and glass. He does not hire any other artists because he said there is not enough traffic in the studio so it wouldn’t be fair to those artists. Wimmer said he hopes to make his studio more known in the future.
