Students strutted their stuff down the catwalk in Hoosier Room on Tuesday March 11 Color me Successful fashion show.
Students modeled what is acceptable and unacceptable to wear to job interviews and while at work. Brittany Murray, communication sophomore said she had came up with the event while working in campus life. She said it was a long process but it was worth it.
Models were all students from campus life and greek life that modeled in the event. Esteban Pardo, criminal justice freshman, modeled in the show said that he thought the show was beneficial to IU Southeast students to know what to wear in certain occasions.
The show’s purpose was to demonstrate to students what outfits should be worn to interviews, during work, social outings and what should never be worn. Murray said that this show was something to benefit students when they graduate college.
Students who attended the event like Caleb Hawes, undeclared freshman said he thought that the fashion show was helpful and fun to learn how to dress for job related activities.
Students were encouraged to take photos and post them using #careerstyle during the event.
Murray said there will be a video of the fashion show for students to view online.
