Many students are attached to their phones and laptops throughout the day. Sometimes this translates into the classroom, however, there are professors that feel using electronics during class is a distraction not only to the student using the technology but others as well. Professors make it clear that minimizing distractions during class is their objective when requesting for phones and laptops to be put away during class time. This doesn’t only benefit staff, keeping them distraction free, but it helps students as well.
